686 sporter or 391 sporter,

i had the loan of a miroku mk38 sporter with 32" multi choke barrels, have had it for a few months now and have been getting on great with it, every time i went out i improved my shooting,
that was until today, had a bit of an accident, long story short, the zip on the gun slip wasn't closed properly and when i lifted it out of the jeep it slip'd out of the slip and fell on the ground, not sure who's to blame as i didn't pack it away but i should have checked my own gun was put away properly,:mad:
anyway the forend is cracked and need's replaced and the stock has a few scrapes on it, i'm going to get all fix'd but that's a different story,

rather than ever having to make that hateful phone call again to tell the owner " i've had an accident" i'm going to buy my own sporter, i took a run to my local dealer and he has a lovely beretta al391 urika sporter, it has 28" barrel and is multi choke, love the look and feel of the gun, but after today i'm put off having a nice gun for sporting or rough shooting, he also has a 686 sporter with 30"multi choke selectable barrels, not as nice a gun to look at, but feels mechanically sound,

both the guns feel good and seem to fit well, i'm going back on wed to have a shot out of them, so i'll know better about how they hit on wed, 95% of my shooting is clays, so i'm a bit worry'd about the semi down at the clay grounds, i have a s686e trap gun for the dtl, and the sporter would be for sporting clays and skeet only, i plan on going into game at some time but not yet, i would love the semi for rough shooting but it's in too good a nick for rough and i'd always be watching it so as not to damage it, the o/u is a bit rougher and i wouldn't worry as much about it getting a scrape on it, both are within 25 quid of each other so i dont know what to buy, always liked the semi's and would hate to pass up a good chance like this but the o/u fits my need's for now as a rough gun that i can take to the sporting clay's and use it as the tool it is intended for,

what to do, oh god what to do, any advice lads????

If there is only €25 between the two i would be going for the one i want which seems to be the semi auto.

No matter how hard you try you cannot prevent a fluke and damage as a result. You have to use the gun, and live with it so why go for your second choice. I could understand it if there were a huge price difference, but not over €25.
