Item Sold On Ebay - "not as described" complaint

First ever complaint on Ebay! :(

Sold a Creative Webcam on Ebay.. tested it before sending and got a message from the buyer saying it wasn't "working perfectly" and that:
you said that the camera is 'Working perfectly'... is not, the view is stimi and is hard to see even from 1m.

And he wants a full refund including postage - I said I'd accept a return but asking for a full refund including postage was a bit much.

Any advice? Should I just accept the return and give the refund but he's liable for the postage to get it back to me.

Is it possible he simply expected a better video on it than he got? I mean it's hardly 720P or anything.

Ebay will have him pay for the shipping back so that's all I'd offer from your side; only be careful with what you receive (i.e. swapped item, stone etc. depending on original sale value).

The buyer should send it back using registered post , but I would'nt highlight this to him.
You should refund him eventually using the Paypal balance , so leave funds there until it is sorted .

Maybe he expected 720p / HD but if he cleans the lens and focus the webcam he might get a better view .

In hindsight , it probably was not a good idea to say webcam was working perfectly , as this should be the general terms anyway.
