    368 yards was as close as I could get.
    Ihad stalked in from 1km mostly on my belly or hands and knees

    I shot him in the shoulder, it was a long hard stalk. There was 14 animals in total, I shot the smallest pricket.

    Although after I fired the shot a fawn no bigger than a lab broke from cover. Must have been a late bloomer.

    I'm wrecked now. Was a long drag to the road (I was glad I picked the smallest animal on show)

    Good to see 14 Deer where there was only 11 last year after I shot 1.
    I've watched that small herd all my adult life and every year it gets slightly bigger.
