Im the same height but heavier, Ive worn 2xl and 3xl bib shorts and 3xl tops while 107kg. Thats with Santini. My team jersey is 4xl and fits the same as the santini's.

Id recommended 2xl shorts as your first purchase, problem is some brands differ with their sizing.

These are great to wear under normal clothes

padding shouldnt be a big deal with the right saddle, what I like about the cycling under shorts is that they stay in the one place and dont start to cause friction problems.

I'm the same height but heavier too. Some xl shorts will fit me but all xxl will fit. The biggest sizing problem for me is jersies. xl will fit me in normal clothing. It tales a xxl in some jersies. My boards jersey is a comfortable xxxl. Its about the same size as a normal xl t-shirt. I got a gift of a campagnolo shirt recently which is xxxl and its about the size of an L shop bought t-shirt. Its trial and error I'm afraid.

I'm 6'2 and 90kg and find it hard to buy jerseys, so I'd recommend trying a few on for size. With shorts you can usually follow the sizing guides, they're pretty accurate. Definitely get shorts or you'll be in a world of hurt if you're doing any long rides.

I'm not as tall but a good bit heavier. I discovered the Prendas website recently. www.prendas.co.uk. They do lots of big sizes and they have sizing charts for all their cloths.
Santini are a very good brand and do up to 3 or 4xl.
You could start with winter Bib Tights or Bib Shorts with leg warmers. Then get a windproof jacket and a baselayer.

Wiggle do their own brand called DHB and it's often reduced and well priced. It's good stuff too.
