The only way to know if it is good value is to go to other garages with a similar i20 and see how much money they want to trade up.

With all due respect, the OP has a Hyundai Getz and looking at trading up to something similar but newer. The OP is obviously looking at a small, cheap to run car. I don't think a BMW or Audi will meet that criteria irrespective of them being bought for similar money.

How much is the 1-20 you are looking at?

See what you could get a new one for in a straight deal.

I'd say somewhere around 13500, based on a retail price of 14245 for a 1.2 Classic 5 door. Not too sure what delivery charges would be.

Could you beat 2500 for your own car in a private sale?

Now the car you are looking at will be a year old on Monday. Surely you should be able to get that for 12000 ish?

I'd say you are getting next to nothing for your own car.

Is the i20 the classic or deluxe spec?

M lyng has a deluxe for a list price of 11500

    You'd surely change for 9500
