Small as in small car, or small engine size?

Coming from your Pug 206, would you not consider some larger petrol cars as well? There is more out there than TDi's... Though I can see the appeal of remapping them etc since it's so popular.

Anywho, budget etc would be most helpful. :)

Why exactly are you going for diesel? Do you do alot of mileage? If not then I'd suggest sticking with petrol. The savings you make on fuel (minimal at this stage) can be wiped out by a DMF failure etc.

If I was in this boat, I'd be looking at a Kia Pro'ceed diesel. Get one with low enough mileage and you'll still have a few years of warranty. A 2.0CRDi would be nice, but the 1.6CRDi can be mapped to see some nice power gains.

320d? They're pretty nice and can be got cheap. 2500 aint so bad with a bit of NCT on it. http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/2803035 Though it is from 2000, perhaps you want something newer?

EDIT: Just noticed the dude took those pictures topless, bit strange...

Well the 1.3 is as far as I know, and they're also very reliable. The FIAT misconception is very silly in my opinion...

Just check out for the 1.242 litre engine they make, there is a few posters on here that swear by them. :)

Yea?? would there be much poke off a 1.3?? not a boy racer or anything just looking for a car with abit of power

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,504 ✭✭✭barura

Not really, compared to a 1.7 or 1.9 that it also comes in. It will do the speed limit no problem, if that's what you're asking. :P

There's absolutely no go off boost, but its very decent once the turbos spinning.
