Flushing toilet

    Hi all,

I've a toilet that runs after flushing. It a 'modern" button flush type with the buttons on hop of the tower in the cistern. Anyway, I investigated a bit and found the problem to be the hinge gets stuck in the "open" position keeping the flap below open. Would a spray of WD40 lubricate it enough, or would using stuff like that be unwise.in a cistern?? Flap seems fine by the way, just the hinge is at fault. Leaking stops after I manually push hinge down.
Thanks in advance of your replies.

If its the center mechanism getting stuck down it just needs to be lubricated with silicone spray. You will buy this in a motor factors.

Do not use wd40. It dries out the mechanism.
