It's not a bad price, but its nothing special. You can get that phone from expansys.ie for €143 and when you factor in the delivery works out the same price.

The phone on expansys and Ibood aer different models (Liquid metal and Liquid mini)

The one on Ibood is the acer liquid metal, this also sells on Expansys for approx 167 euro

Have it, would reccomend apart from limited internal storage, otherwisde v good phone

If you listen to radiom or music a a lot, you will like the sound quality , excellent headphones and on board Dolby

512Mb RAM/ROM upgradeable by Mini SDHC, a 2Gb is included with the phone- it supports up to a 32Gb card.

Note- the processor on this phone is an 800Mhz A8 Cortex- aka, its about 2 generations old- even the original HTC desire has a 1Ghz A9 Cortex and the Desire S has a dual core A9 Cortex.

Its a reasonable price for a reasonable phone- and if it is upgraded to Gingerbread (its on Android 2.2 at the moment- contrary to the IBood add which is proclaiming it to be on 2.3)- it'll be very worthwhile

Personally- I'd pay a little extra for a HTC- just to the HTC Sense skin- and the slightly better specs- even on older models.

Note- don't get a HTC Desire- they won't be updated to 2.3

I have Desire and its running official 2.3 Gingerbread

It free's up a bit more space and seems to run much better and a little quicker than 2.2

I got a liquid mt from expansys and it's running android 2.3.6 out of the box. It was delivered within 2 days of ordering, which is considerably faster than ibood would be. Only drawback so far is the limited amount of internal storage, and given some apps have to be stored on the internal memory as opposed to an SD card, it could become a bigger pain.

I just ordered from Ibood...wish me luck.

In the few hours it took me to get back to the Expansys website they were out of stock on the value pack.
It included a 2 gb card and case.
The downside was that it went from being a deal to being over the €200 mark when vat was included....I didn't see that one coming.

Anyway, Ibood include a 2 gb card so its a 50 euro saving bar the case and the same delivery times.

Its not an over the air update that you'd normally get on a mobile- hell, I've even got pics of Ice-cream-sandwich on a HTC Desire- with a significant number of features working.

Yes- you can do a hard-install of 2.3(5), and they do provide detailed instructions on how to do so- but for the average person walking down the street, there is no automatic update available for them........
