IR Smartcard - unable to tag off

    hi,

    just called IR to discuss this and they said they cant help, to call back after christmas..., so I'm just wondering has anyone dealt with this before and is it easy enough to get a refund?

    got the dart from tara to bayside last night at around 11.55.
    bayside station, as you might know has had no working turnstiles since the floods a few months back so we have to rely on the single pole, however the pole seemed to have hung/crashed last night. displaying "please wait" on both lcd screens before i even presented my card and not doing anything else.
    ticket office was closed at the time so had no choice but to head on home.
    i took a photo of the pole for posterity

    Call the number on the back of the card tomorrow 29th during normal working hours and a refund will be issued i.e 4.30 - the correct fare.

    Make the call before lunch and the refund will be available to collect after 6pm same day from any ticket machine or by making a journey.

    The refund won't show up on the web page till you touch your card off the machine at the station, either the ticket machine, or going through the turnstyle.

    Called the number on the site, didn't think they would put a different one on the card!
    Should have known to check that :)
