Van won't start

    Hi I last started my van Christmas eve. Just went to start it and it didn't fully turn over. Tried it again and it won't start at all now. When I turn the key it makes a clicking noise. The noise sounds like its around the dash area.

    I have checked the battery with a multimeter and it lst reading almost 13volts so it's not a battery problem.

    It a 00 Nissan delivery van. 2.3 diesel.

    This happed a few weeks ago as well but it strarted a few minutes later and started every time until now.

    Anyone any ideas. Need to get it going as quick as possible.

    I'd try a push start and if it goes I'd be thinking starter motor.

    Try a jump start, that will show if it's the starter.

    Thanks everyone. It is indeed the starter motor. Got breakdown assistance out and when ya man gave d starter a tip with the hammer while turning the key it started up. Need to get a second hand starter somewhere or else get my one reconditioned.
