Silly question but can you hire rather then purchase cd-reader/writer?

    I was just wondering is there anywhere i.e computer retailer etc that you could rent an exteranl cd re/writer from for a few days. The reason I am asking is because I have a netbook (no cd/dvd writer/player) and want to rip music from the large amount of cds I have to I Tunes for my MP3 player.

    I doubt it. They're really cheap to buy nowadays though. Or if you could find an old desktop you could remove the drive if it had one and put it in a housing.

    My uncle got an external LiteON DVD Burner in PC World I think it was for €50 yesterday, they may have non DVD Burner/ROM ones cheaper. I'm not aware of anywhere which would hire them out, as I doubt there would be a market for it!
