Reverse lights not working

    Renault megane 01,reverse lights not working,have changed the bulbs,checked the fuses and changed the reverse light switch but still not coming on,anyone know what else it could be or i could try.

    You never said so I presume u haven't done this and as its the only thing left it must be the problem.check the wiring for breaks with a multi meter make sure u have the multimeter set right for checking continuity( think that's how u spell it)And if not check the lamp module make sure the connections all through the lamp ain't damaged I've seen the metal circuit board just rot away and that's being the problem

    Are they only one or two reverse lights on these? With the bulb holder disconnected check and see if you have 12 volts coming down.

    Have narrowed it down to the wire that connects to the reverse light switch must be damaged somewhere as there is only 2.3v going through.I just need to trace it back to see where its connecting to.We put a live through this wire and the lights came on so there must be a short in it somewhere

    its always the renaults:D, if you have replaced the switch, and fuses, id say a loose wire or crossed wire, should be cheap fix
