Looking for Wii Controller with cover & strap

    Santy brought a Wii!!! Yippee.

Thinking that only the 3 year old would play Santa brought just 1 controller, and 5 PS3 games for the 11 year old!!! We've had fights since Christmas day. Been looking at Argos and the web and my head hurts with all the different remotes/options. Xtravision won't have remotes in until January.

Can anyone tell me where sells the Wii remote with motion plus and includes the silicone cover and wrist strap. Argos don't say if theirs include the cover and strap, has anyone purchased one? Our nearest Argos is 35 mile drive which makes it an expensive remote. Have read a lot of mixed reviews about the cheaper compatible remotes so have decided to go for the official Wii product. Can anyone help? I particularly want to get it with the protection as I don't want it going through the telly :)

All Wii remotes come with the strap.

From viewing the Wii Remote Plus on Amazon here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nintendo-RVLAWRWA-Remote-Plus-White/dp/B0045FGET2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1325011359&sr=8-1 one of the comments states
"What the listing doesn't mention is that it comes with the silicone jacket and batteries so ne need to buy these separately" so i'd presume it does. anyone want to confirm?

As far as I'm aware, all new remotes will include both the protective jacket and the wrist strap. It's in Nintendo's interest that everyone has them so they aren't liable for any mishaps, so they issued them free to early adopters, and packed them in with new remotes.

The usual suspects should have them: Smyths, HMV, GAME, GameStop, Argos, Harvey Norman, etc. Of course, ring around before making any long journeys as there might be stock issues this time of year. You could also try looking for Wii Play Motion -- it's a mini-game collection that make use of, and includes, the latest remote. Tends to work out the same price as getting just the remote.

Wii Remote Plus is the latest version, while Wii Motion Plus is a small addition for the older remotes. It probably works out cheaper to get the new model rather than getting an old remote and the Wii Motion Plus separately.
