how is it goin mate. BIS is a great course, I am currently in my final year and to be honest I really enjoyed the course from the start. It's a mixture of business and technology so ul be doin economics, accounting, computer programming, management subjects and many interesting 1s.

Because its a small class, we started off with around 60 in first year and now we have about 20, not because it's difficult the numbers decreased but many thought the course was the same as commerce, all business...

The course staff are very friendly and will help you along the way, they are approachable all of the time and can provide information about upcoming external courses and internships and jobs, so its handy to be on their good side.

In 3rd year of the course you get to go on a 9 month internship and this is something that courses like commerce do not offer, I was placed in the financial department of the ESB in Dublin and it really gave me a good experience and I learned a lot and will have this experience going into a graduate position plus the internship is paid so that is a benefit.

I was offered this course and actually accepted another course before it but because this sector is booming at the moment and the course is enjoyable I guarentee if u put in the work u will enjoy it, I certainly have anyway. best of luck with the cao.

It's a long and difficult course with lots of workloads. TBH, don't go for the course that sounds better - go for the one there's jobs in. The exam marking is allocated in a way that makes it difficult to score well in - this can screw-up your GPA.
