I'm not sure if this is the forum for this, but... my laptop battery charges when I have it plugged in in the parents' house, but not when I have it plugged in anywhere else...
This has been the case for quite some time, so it's not that I'm not plugging it in properly or that the battery is dodgy. Well, obviously the battery is dodgy, but I'm more concerned that there might be something wrong with the electrics in the house.

Nope. Same power cable that came with the laptop everywhere.
