    Which is the best way?

I've only ever driven to Dublin then got RyanAir to Prestwick.

That is probably the easiest flying from Dublin as you will have the most airline choice, the only alternative might me flying to Edinburgh with Flybe from Knock Airport. The overland travel between Edinburgh and Glasgow should be less than Galway to Dublin Airport so depending on your home location then Knock to Edinburgh might be the quickest. Pricing may vary however.

Cheers - which airlines fly Dub-Ggw apart from RyanAir? RA only have bloody 8am flights which would mean leaving Galway at about 3am to get a bus in for 6.30, waiting around and then getting to Glasgow at 9am. We're going over for a football match so that would just mean staying up drinking until the game at 3pm and probably that night too!

Ryanair fly from Dublin to Prestwick Airport which is further away from the city than Glasgow International Airport. Aer Lingus Regional fly to Glasgow International Airport from Dublin. So you have two airline choices for 3 if you count Flybe from Knock - Edinburgh and travel overland in Scotland instead from Edinburgh to Glasgow which would take around 2-2.5hrs which isn't much of a saving over the Galway-Dublin Airport journey time.
