Garda marksmen and Nuremburg

"Garda shoots someone. Turns out that it was a mistake-ish. Other Garda suffers shock and quits force"

Does anyone know where I could find the guidelines or practice and procedure manual for Garda marksmen?

Also I'm assuming the Gardai have to sign a declaration or abide by a code of ethics, anyone have a link to this?

I'm thinking of a point revolving around the yuppie nuremburg defence - he was just doing his job and the 'shocked' guard signed up for the risk.

    Any help would be appreciated

    -B

The sort of information you seek would be considered confidential and not available in the public domain , highly unlikely any serving Gardai will discuss on a public internet forum.

What have yuppies got to do with Nuremburg?

Look for published reports such as John Carty killing or that post office robbery where two raiders were killed by ERU. There's probably others as well.

Bear in mind these will be somewhat of historic value as operating procedures will have changed somewhat since. (I assume).

It's a refrence to "Thank you for smoking"

and I figured a thread with a heading like ''Garda marksmen and Nuremburg" would get more traffic.
