Ok Merry Xmas to one and all.

Right, a 'lady' had an accident in my car last week, puked and pissed herself. I cleaned it right away, scrubbed/disinfected and dried and the next day there was still a terrible smell. I repeated this action the next morning but the bad smell remains. There are no stains but it's definately ingrained into the fibres of the upholstery of the seat.

Besides a valet, have you any homemade tips/solutions to this problem. It's a taxi and it's my best opportunity to do this today as I will have time to dry it.

    Thanks.

    Oh, here's a lovely pic https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/380142_10150429816822120_540627119_8985566_635592939_n.jpg

Carpet shampoo machine id think. Vax. Good investment for a taxi driver.

Or rent a rugdoctor for €30, they do a fantastic job.

Take the bench out and pressure wash them.

Alternatively use some car seat covers or ditch those seats and get a leather interior

Febreze the shíte out of it and leave it to dry in an open area where the wind can blow over it but not get wet.

Seats out, carpet up. Thats very likely soaked through and theres a puddle sitting somewhere in a crevace or corner.
The foam should be water resistznt and therefore not retain any smell but you should try to remove the upholstery to clean both sides of it and possible leave it soaking.

A new rear bench may be more econimical in terms of time lost.
But you will get rid of it if you can find the source quickly

If it's a taxi, did you not get a soiling charge from this woman?

These things work really well on car seats. When you rent it make sure you get the "Upholstery nozzle" with it. Also use double the concentration of shampoo than the bottle says.;)

I read that as my lady. I was thinking that maybe you referred to your dog as my lady...

I gotta €100 from her as it ended my night to make any income. I ended up taking the seat out and scrubbing it with a combination of hot water and washing powder. I done a rigorous job and left it to dry.
It worked, no stains and no odour.
