Got my kids Android phones for Crimbo, one sim works perfect, but in the other the Sim crashes the phone as soon as it's sim unlock pin is entered, it gives a popup saying "the process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. force close". I've heard of issues with older sim cards, anyone know if it's possible to fix, or do I need to wait till Tue to get a new sim.

Have you tried swapping the sims to see if its actually the phone or the sim thats causing the problem?

My own sim works perfect in the phone. Strangely, her sim works perfect in my Galaxy S.

IIRC you put custom roms in those phones, as you mentioned in the Blade thread. Any chance the offending phone could do with a re-install. Not what you want to do on Christmas Day:(.

Try Settings / Applications / Manafe Application / All Tab / Phone / Clear Data

There's no custom rom on the phones, I didn't get time so it's stock Froyo Android on ZTE Libra's (the new version of the San Fran). I have 2 of them, the sim doesn't work in the other phone so it's deffo the sim, works in neither phone. But it works fine in any other phone including my Galaxy S. A strange one this

I can't get to any settings as the phone crashes right after sim unlock entry. Does the same on both phones so it's not the phone

if the sim is a year or two old the sim is the issue

Yeah, its looking like that, although she only has it about 2 years. I tried removing the sim pin completely with another phone but the phone still crashes with the sim.
