Focus? I dunno are the Focus wings bolt on or weld on, if they're weld on it might be more cost effective to fill and spray it, if they are bolt on a new wing might be cheaper.

€€€s wise I dunno, I had a wing filled and sprayed on a new Mondeo years back in the main dealer and it was €400 iirc.

That colour is going to be difficult to get exactly right. The amount of silver cars with mismatched panels is crazy.

You should be able to buy a second hand wing for about 50-70, if its silver (common colour in the Mondys) its a bolt on job, maybe 150-200 labour for a mecanic to fit it.

I agree with mickdw. If it is going through his insurance then make sure whoever replaces the wing flashes the bumper and door as well to ensure a good colour match. It will cost the best part of €1000 going through the insurance I reckon. You could get it done cheaper if you wanted to be nice about it and he was paying out of his own pocket.

Should be no bother to match it really :)
Mixed properly from the right code and using the right shade variant it should be spot on. The mismatched ones are generally the wrong variant of a code or sloppy mixing rather than an issue with matching silvers :)

A bit of blending into the door would help too.

i could fit it myself but i don't want the hassle of doing it

yeah there's a bit of a mark on the door aswell where the horizontal crease is but i'll get a better look at it tomorrow

There's a fair crease in that. I would replace the panel if it is a bolt off job.

    Ooops

Now that I think of it maybe the Rord chap said a new wing was more labour than just sorting the one that was on mine :)

Ouch!!! Had something very similar happen to my car recently in the same spot but also needed plastic welding on the skirt, no idea how much it cost but i can recommend Kildare crash repair centre in newbridge, done a smashing job repairing it, dealt with a lad called ollie, dead sound fella. My car was collected from my house, left me with a car to use and dropped my car back when the work was done. Might be worth getting a quote off them.
