Being in Dublin, I know I'm on the fringes of this Nordic-Beam.... but I've always got it... but recently have lost it completely...

Anyone in Dublin getting this or am I just not getting it due to being on an 88cm??

    Cheers in advance

    Hi Manc-Red,

The actual position of Thor 6 that carries the K1 beam is 0.8W. It would be borderline on an 88cm dish at the best of times but you could try tweeking it a shade east and you might get it. Hope this helps.

Ah I know man, I use to nudge it east & get a great signal on it....

Think its time to upgrade to a 1.1 lol

    Cheers anyway

I receive it ok most of the time in Meath on a 1M but in bad weather it can break up. A 1.1 or bigger is the way to go.

It shows how much also that beam drops off from Dublin to the West here. Ive a 1.1m and that beam is borderline. Perfect in clear sunny weather, no signal at all even in drizzle. The K2 Beam is as strong as Astra 2 though.

Opposite problem in Donegal. K1is easy on a TD88 and K2 is tricky with a TD110 from Buncrana and NW of there.

Perhaps ive got my beams muddled up. I know the Canal+Film HD/Sport HD transponder is the borderline one for me. Yes ive checked & i have, Its the K1 beam which is dodgy, the T1 and T2 beams are very strong, dont actually think there is a K2 beam anymore

Used to get that K1 beam very clear and strong until recently. Using 1mtr dish in east of england - now no signal. Somethings changed!

There has to be a change in how the beam is being 'pointed' ..... A weakened fringe signal, I wonder??

There most certainly is a K2 beam, the north west of Donegal is outside the footprint though, whille the south & west of Ireland is outside the footprint of the K1 beam, can't be helped.
