    Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has a suggestion for a decent time calculator with an integrated cost calculator too? If for example you charge customers based on time and would like a quick and accurate way to get the total bill, an app that could simply do:

    10:00hr - 16:40hr minus 30 minutes break = (6.16 hours)x($12) = €73.92

Have tried a few time calculator apps now and none seem to offer the added functionality.

    Any suggestions appreciated :)

that sum is wrong should be €56.67 ($73.92)

cant see why you need an application to do it.

can you not just use a calculator or do the sum using mental arithmetic?

is there a spreadsheet app? you could just input some formulas. ?

Sorry, having a brain lapse moment here but where did you get €56.67 from? How is the sum wrong? or are you just going by currency exchange rates or something? :o

Just easier to have an app to do the calculations, the sums I've used above are very simple and it could end up being a lot more complicated with no computer or anything at hand to do the maths.

I too would love to know where you got that answer from.

If you have access to an app you have access to a computer (bear in mind your smartphone is a computer).

I think doing something in Excel would be easiest way, if you need a hand with it give me a shout.

Thanks for the reply, found an app that might suffice, called time calculator

if I type 16hours 40 minutes - 10hours, then minus 30 minutes, that's 6hours 25minutes, if I click convert, that shows me it's 6.166 hours, then I just clear and multiply 6.166x12 to get 73.992 (I think the above sum of 73.92 was wrong so, as it was 73.992 ;))

I just wanted a quick way to calculate a price while somebody may be in a rush.

What way would you have suggested it using excel considering each figure, even charge, could be different each time? :)

    I was being pedantic :)
    10:00hr - 16:40hr minus 30 minutes break = (6.16 hours)x($12) = €73.92

when you convert $73.92 to euro you get €56.67 :D:D

Something like toggl.com maybe? It's a web service. They do have an Android client but tbh, I find the mobile web interface works better.

Thanks for the suggestion, but this might only be used for a handful of calculations a week so I don't think it would warrant the sub charge :)
