Change to my Sky package

Just wanted to see if anyone can help me.

I've been a sky customer since 2009 and when I signed up it was €21 per month for the standard package and then €2 extra for any of the supplementary packs. I picked the music pack and it was a total of €23. Over the years this increased to €25 so for that last ages I've been paying €25 per month.

About a month ago we've added on sports and movies for half price for 3 months. I've recently noticed that I no longer seem to have the music pack.
I phoned sky today and was told that when the sports & movies were added they reset my account back to the default basic setting (I really have NO idea why they would do that) and if I want to return my account to how it has been for the last 2/3 years I have to pay them €8 extra per month for their error. They never advised at the time that adding something would mean removing something else.

I think it's ridiculous that they now expect me to pay €33 per month for what I've had for the last number of years and paid €25 for!!! Price freeze my ass!!!

I didn't change anything - they did!! I just want my normal package back at the same price as I've paid for it for the last 3 years.

Rubbish customer service fro $ky. Thats why they are so profitable here. Ring them again and tell them that if they dont give you back the Music channels, you will cancel. That should soften their cough a bit. Don't say it unless you are prepared to do it. But that threat gets a positive reply in more cases than not.

Sky changed their packages in September-you now only have 2 choices for the non premium lineup.

Entertainment (Variety & Culture) Entertainment Extra (All 6 packs)

It seems that if you make changes to your package eg. add or take away premium channels then you revert to the nearest pack you had,in the op's case it was nearer the Entertainment than the Extra. Any extra channels would incur a charge.

Basically Sky added on all non premium channels free to anyone that had 2 or more packs under the old system until August 2013.Many people copped this who were on the minimum pack of €21 a month, they added one or two more before the change in September & got all the rest added for free. They'll all have to pay €33 a month in 2013 when the price freeze ends.
It looks like by changing your package you made this price freeze/extra free channels arrangement null & void unfortunately.

Trust me,Sky are well covered in this dept. by the small print in their t&c's.

Still as Kristopherous (still has a problem with keyboard;):p) says-it might be worth a call and threaten to leave. They may see sense.
