    income, so what If I live in NI and work in Republic .. will I have to pay tax ?? Just curious, no trolls or hate comments please ..
    also same question, replace NI with island about 5 km off coast, or international waters

    Yes to both, but you are allowed to offset your tax paid in the other jurisdiction. It's all governed by double taxation agreements signed between both countries. One of the attractions of Ireland to foreign companies is that we have a comprehensive set of these treaties signed by now.

    Non Resident & non ordinarily resident = tax on Irish source income
