W7 on 2nd hand hard drive?

I was hoping to install windows 7 OEM onto the 2nd hand drive but Ive been reading you can't install w7 OEM onto a drive that had previous windows on it. Anyone…

Hi folks,

I was hoping to install windows 7 OEM onto the 2nd hand drive but Ive been reading you can't install w7 OEM onto a drive that had previous windows on it. Anyone know anything about this?

Also If I was to install vista on it again with more ram could I use the recovery CD we have here? Or that wont work because there was a different vista it compared to the one I have the CD for?
