The runireland description doesn't mention technical tops at all (are they free with the entry fee, and will all runners get one?). I'm temped to do it, but 21quid is alittle steep for a 5k, especially considering it is the 1st time they have organized a race, and there does not appear to be a club behind it.

Also, is there any day registration, and how much will this be?

This is the email response I got when I emailed them asking about measurement and on the day registration...
The course has been measured and certified as a 5K by Athletics Association Ireland. Race numbers are chipped and your time will be texted to you after the race. On the day registration is available if we have not reached our quota of runners on that day. Chips and medals are available for 400 people. Alternatively online registration is available at precision timings website.
Look forward to seeing you on the day

I ran this, not flat, uphill start followed by a drag and no water at the finish line.

On the positives, it was well organised, there was several announcements that the front area was for sub 20, marshalling was excellent, number pick up took moments, great setting, a little on the high side price wise with no t shirt but the funds go to a great cause so I'm fine with that. I'll be running this again next year if I'm not in Connemara. Would recommend to a friend but also recommend to bring a friend with water;)

No, but it wasn't flat either. I don't think it's the best course for a pb, it was won in 16 odd but it's a good one nonetheless.

From looking at the garmin trace you threw up Ultraman, it would have better run in reverse! But still to call it Hilly, hmm nayyy, I know lots of 5ks that are way hilly then that!

Never said it was hilly, I said there was an uphill start, in reverse this would be a lightening fast course but there would be a net downhill overall.
