Apologies if this had been asked before, I notice that it's cheaper to buy a family day rambler ticket for Dublin bus than to buy two individual adult rambler day tickets, my question is, can I use the family day ticket for two adults travelling together sans children?

As far as I am aware, yes you can.

It covers 2 adults and up to 4 children.

AFAIK you must have at least one adult and one child to use the family tickets.

You can indeed,as the definition of a family does not specifically require children :)

The only drawback being both persons must travel together, whereas the individual tickets allow flexibility.

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.
