Is there a tree in merchants quay where gifts can be left for kids in Cork that may not otherwise get much for Xmas

Seem to remember a few years ago people were asked if possible when doing their shopping for Xmas to buy an extra toy or something that could be left at the tree.

As far as I know it was then passed on to those less well off

Just wondering is it still on the go

There's no tree but there's a table outside M&S by the lifts with cards with kids names and ages on.

You can donate to any of the kids... I was told there are actual kids.

Well I think that states the obvious doesn't it? Hardly buying presents for dolls.

What I meant is that the gift you donate goes directly to the kid you chose - not shared out amongst many:)
