    Hi,

Looking for a bit of help here. I have an old camcorder which I used to connect to my old laptop through a firewire connection.

However, I had to get a new laptop and bought a firewire (usb mini 1394) to usb converter.

The problem is when I connect it to the laptop it does not recognize that a new device has been connected.

Just wondering if there is a program I have to download (like nero?) to make the laptop recognize the camcorder through USB?

    Thanks in advance.
