Citroen XM

Has the Citroen XM reached classic status yet? I don't drive but if I did, I'd love one as a classic car! I absolutely loved them when they showed up around about 1988/89. It looked years ahead of it's time at that stage. I know the early ones weren't that great but by the time they ended their life they were rock solid apparantly.

Anyone restoring or running one that's enthusiastic about it?

I always think it was the last 'proper' quirky, futuristic looking citroen!

Even today, it doesn't look that old, exterior wise, and we're 22 years on!

A friend of mine has a nice one for sale in NI, diesel estate. But the tax and vrt make it expensive.

This is an XM! Also available as a 4 wheel ambulance but I think these are the dogs best bits.

Or if you've got €38,000 handy you can have Pierre Tissiers own personal XM.

The above XM is nothing new, Tissier has sone them with the DS, CX and even an SM.
