Well, its a sad today. I sold my beloved car. It is gone. Where do I go from here??
The love affair started last year, when I first saw her, she was beautiful and we really hit it off, things progressed from there very quickly. Soon we were inseparable and having the time of our lives! Times, I for one though would never end with intentions to keep her as a 'bit on the side' if I ever became involved with another car, and one day if I ever had a son, I would pass her onto him when the time was right. But cracks started to show in our relationship, one cold winters morning she got mad at me, real mad. Steam shot out of her nostrils, and she was hot with rage!!! She cracked her radiator out of spite towards me! But me being the fool, took her back. I even bought her a brand new Aluminium radiator to keep her sweet. Things got back on track and the good times were back. Whizzing me up the motorway, or just purring at me on the driveway, it was all magical..............until I must have said something wrong, or perhaps in the wrong tone, and she plotted her revenge. At first I was unaware, I just thought she needed a good seeing to!! So I did the deed and 'fully serviced' her, but there was still something up. Then one day I knew it was over, the sight of the dreaded blue smoke. There was no question about it in my mind, and it was confirmed again when threw her ring back me and told me she wanted a new one!!! But I couldnt afford a new ring!! And all the baggage that went with it! She basically wanted a RE-BUILD!!!

So, as I stare out to the empty place on my driveway, I can only remember the good times, the arguing, the pain, none of that matters now. My heart still longs for her, and a growing hatred for the 'new' man in her life!! So what if he can give her everything she needs, I would have been able to, given time.

It is time to move on, to the mundane, to the 'sensible' car. My dream is over, dont let yours be over too.

Her is link to my loved one, in case you are interested:

That's mad without even looking at the ad I knew it was a Subaru. I know the feeling lad I've had a good few subarus and had my share of engine rebuilds. The one thing I would say is that if you rebuilt it and got it properly mapped the engine would go forever, obviously servicing is a biggie with these soft engines. I've gotten to the stage now where if I buy a Subaru I just whip out the engine and do the bearings before they go..

Super car when they're right though :) puts a smile on my face every time :)
