This works well in other forums, so we thought we'd give it a bash here.

We've decided on these lovely categories to keep it simple.

Post of the Year

Award for Top Poster

Award for Most Biased Poster

Best Newcomer


Photo of the Year

One nomination per category per poster.You don't have to nominate in every category, but do try, as it would be brilliant if you could, as if we could get at least 5 nominees for each award, that would be pretty ideal.

When we've got our nominees in a few days, we'll lock this thread and then everyone can have their vote on a seperate thread(s).If there are no clear nominees the winner will be selected by the Motor Mods.

Don't bother posting if you're gonna be nasty.It'll be deleted and the same rules will apply regarding infractons/bans.

Most Biased is a toughie, either Vectra or Volvoman, seeing as Volvoman has parted ways with us I'll have to say Vectra

'I had a guy pull up alongside me in a 1.4 Octavia. He gave me a knowing glance and I knew it was game on. The cheek of him even contemplating a race with a TDI VRS. I couldnt for the life of me understand how anyone could have such a poor disregard for their own safety. Surely he knew the road in front would be thrown in his face once I launched all 350bhp smoothly through the front wheels up to the 8k red line (It only shows 6k on the clocks to deceive you like all TDI's).

As he disappeared into the distance I looked in my rear view mirror and felt immense pity. He probably had run out of inferior petrol while I had no doubt gotten at least 80mpg. He was probably paying monsterous tax too on his while mine is just a bit of spare change. I need to look into changing it now though, the new model has cheaper tax again and even more TDI POWER.'

Aye an there she is. That was a near disaster:rolleyes: I don't post as much as I used to because of limited internet access and Fas phase six. Im finished now though so should get back in the swing of things.

As for the awards that will have to wait till I decide, I know who is the most biased though.

Indeed, an old thread was bumped in the Classic sections that Max Damage had started, was thinking when I saw it it would be nice if there was some way of remembering him on here.

Good suggestion but given that the thread titles have been jokes up to now do you not think it would be a little insensitive? I'm not sure myself

Max was a decent skin and I would like to see him remembered though, it's just thinking of something appropriate

Yeah but he was a joyful ol character so im sure he , of all people, wouldnt mind in the slightest? And the fact that we changed a joking name of a thread to a serious one would be more significant imo
