    Okay, the rules are simple:

Put yourself in the position of a huge, multi national car manufacturer who's looking to expand their potfolio. There's a pile of cash sitting in company accounts and the bean counters are looking for an opening to capture bigger markets and bring in even more loot. First pick which company you are i.e Fiat. Second, do you buy and existing brand or do you buy the rights to and reintroduce a long since forgotten brand such as Borgward. What platforms/engines would you use too make what type of product and which markets would you target.

Just to get the ball rolling I'd go with Fiat buying the rights to Yugo, try to realign the Fiat brand in a kind of Citroen DS3 way with more up market Puntos etc and build cheaper versions of all of them in the east badged as Yugos.

I'm very much looking forward to others ideas on this one. :)

I'd set up a whole new car brand called the "FRUGATTI" - it's a frugal crossover vehicle like a Bugatti Veyron but has a 1.9 PD tdi unit from VAG with nine turbos and 3 superchargers bolted to it knocking out 990 bhp at the flywheel.....and does a mininum of 79mpg all the time, even when you flog it.
