    Whats the going rate for (1) Phpp assessment and (2) DEAP assessment? I got quoted E1,000 today for a phpp for a new build? I mean thats a lot, what exactly are you getting for that? I basically want an energy efficient house thats well insulated, airtight, with MHRV. The build will face south with reasonable amount of 3G.

    • how much changing does this figure allow for ?
    • is this a 100msq regular box with no frills, or a mock Buckingham palace?:D you haven't said how complex the house is?:)
    • does this include the BER? they are getting time consuming to comply with Part L especially where PH is concerned:(
    • is this assessment part of the building design (ie by your arch) or carried out by someone else?
    • were you given any outline of whats included?
    • you should be asking the tenderer for an explanation of the fee not us...

    the phpp is about front loading this process, so more is thought about by your designer prior to you getting on site and making rushed decisions regarding for instance mhrv pipe runs, or the shading of your south facing 3g..

    That sounds reasonable enough to me, theres a lot more to a PhPP asssessment that a simple DEAP assessment.
