Looks like there is a Boeing 787-8 en route to Shannon at the moment.... Test flight I presume? Is this a first for Shannon?

Nope not a first, it's been a few times before! Saw it twice myself, don't know if it was here more than that!

I saw it myself in Shannon about a month ago. When I saw it I think it was returning from the Dubai Airshow.

I saw her there in August. Here's the footage I got of her on takeoff.

Out of interest; are the cabins of these prototypes kitted out as they would be an in service revenue flight for one of the 787 customers?

The one that was at the Dubai airshow had 1 cabin fitted as Business class, another with economy seats and I think the front cabin empty to show the space available.

Guess based on photos online that show both seat types and another that shows empty space with a galley and J class seats beyond.

Actual in-service layout would depend on seat manufacturer and airline specific cabin config.
