Pretty much as per the title- the wifi is working on my phone but won't work on my laptop. It won't even pick it up,its just a yellow sun-it picks the eircom connection up from next door so I dunno what the problem is. Its a new laptop-a HP pavilion G6 Windows 7 Home Premium

Actually lads - I turned off the modem and back on again - and it worked! Find this very weird, especially as the wifi worked on another laptop and on my phone, just not my laptop!!!

Its likely that the modem is set to Auto Channel, so the channel will change on reboot, the wifi card wasn't picking up the channel it was broadcasting on. It happens sometimes.

You can set it to a channel using the modem config (read / download the manual) make sure you have a Network / Ethernet cable on hand if you decide to do it incase neither laptop nor phone can detect the router on the channel you set it to.
