Kids Eat Free?

Hi All, (Hope this is a suitable bargain alert)

I thought i would start a thread on places where us parents can go out for something to eat and bring the kids along for free! it seems to be a growing trend in pubs and restaurants, and personally i love it, because you can feed the family for around 25% off (or more depending on how many kids you have) then what it normally costs...

Let me start the list with:
    • Speaker Connoly - Firhouse - (Pub Grub) Kids eat free Mon-Fri 4pm-7pm.
    • La Dolce Vita Trattoria - Sandyford (Italian Food) - Kids eat free @ Weekends
    • Cactus Jacks - Kids eat free Sundays
    • The Blazing Grill - Tallaght (Steakhouse) - Kids Eat Free Sundays
    Thanks

For those who have more then two kids or want to bring two by themselves, some places would have kids eat free where one free kids meal per paying adult. Do these places have a limit like that?

    Great idea.

Probably because I'm miserable, but it breaks my heart ot pay for a kids meal and have our lil'one eat a quarter of it...

I think the Speaker doesnt have a limit, might be worth checking it out though :) i have 2 kids myself, one is only 6 weeks old, and the other 5, so have not come accross the limits... but i did notice on a couple sites that it seems to be the norm :)

LOL, you are not alone, my 5yr old eats a fork full off the plate then waits for the icecream :) so yeah, i've gone mad a few times paying up to a tenner for a dinner and him not touching it...

that's why you need a few kids.... Buy a meal between them and whoever is hungry finishes it :D I have a 2 and a 4 years old, we usually get a kids menu with 2 forks. Plus an extra drink and dessert.
Or we both order a large main course that we share with the little ones, only it means nothing spicy or salads. Plus if they turn out to be hungry, you could be left with very little to eat yourself

Great post idea. Also restaurants that do doggy bags for the kiddies meal that was barely touched would be great

i'd say it's 1 child per adult... If it wasn't you'd see 5-6 kids per adult lol

There's an Indian in Navan that does it. Can't say what it's like as I don't have kids and resent subsidising your little fecker's meal :P

I have to say, I do like the Eddie Rockets €25 family meal. Very good value compared to McDonalds or BK, where you spend the same but dont get the quality
