    yes of course it could, you would be better served doing some troubleshooting and elimate the motor and switch, fuse and wiring before buying anything.

    My money would be on the switch, it failed on my 03 Focus. €10 from a scrappie and 20 mins later the problems was solved.

    If there is no clicking noise heard the switch is at fault. I've an intermitent fault with mine too.

    Yeah im gonna havta go have a look at see before i do anything...

    Usually when a reg goes the window will only half close or drop etc

    Could be right on the switch as i heard the d/s window gives more trouble as its used more

    Never seen a switch fail on one but I have seen a few regulators fail. Its quite easy to test a window regulator anyway.

    Common for wiring loom at drivers door to have been sliced in attempt by thieves to gain entry, just did one from ford 60€ for this part of loom very common too hard to repair @60€;

    This might be useful to you just in case you need to rip everything out..

    If you press the switch and cant hear the clicking sound of the relay then this is most likely gone, however check the fuses haven blown for whatever reason.

    After that its worth pulling a multimeter out to check there is current going to the relay in the door. If there isnt then its most likely the switch.

    If all these are working then work on to either the motor or the regulator.

    I once had to grease the rubber at the side of the window as the rubber hardened and restricted the window operation.

    Hi,

    I have a 03 Focus Ghia with a number of electric window problems...
    1. Drivers door switch will only intermittently operate drivers door.
    2. Drivers door switch will not lower rear windows but will put them back up.

    (It does make a clicking sound when operating the switch regardless of whether it adjusts the window)

    Does anyone know whether this fault points to the switch, motor or regulator?

    Thanks,
