Small room, elec rad or elec fire

Hello, I have a lounge room 3 x 5m with no rad nor fire. Would it be wise to install an electric fire instead of installing elec rad and then installing elec fire for effect only. If I install elec fire it will suffice heating wise I think? Any advice?
