I'm currently using a Galaxy S2 but have an upgrade due very shortly. I like the Samsung but to be honest Samsung UI is a little messy and the build quality is pants. I prefer HTC Sense and their build quality.

Are there any major phone releases in the next couple of months that would be worth waiting for? I know the S3 isn't too far away however unless it drastically addresses the UI and build I probably won't be tempted. I'm looking for something high end as I like my gadgets.

Mobile World Congress is early Feb. A lot of the newer lines get announced around then

HTC have a couple of 4G devices in the US so I'd expect some variant of them over here soon but their not as high end as the Sensation which still seems to be their top device at the minute.

Then wait till summer next year , you'll have alot to choose from SG3 even some quad core phones ;)

as for right now , i think the best android phone you can get is the Galaxy Nexus

I heard the SGS3 will be quad core. Sounds awesome. on the Galaxy S myself. Upgrade due in January but may wait till the SGS3 is out.

Do you really need quad core? I mean my deceased iPhone 4s was dual core and sages mobile app did not run any faster.
    Why?,
Because hardly any apps for IOS, Android and WP are multi threaded. There are of course custom apps and database apps that are but will the average Joe Bloggs have/use them.

    No.

I do however see that in early-mid 2012 that quite a few apps will become multi threaded but what app will NEED 4 cores?
