As the title says, my lidl hiking boots could do with changing after 2 years of service in airsoft and other activities. Just looking for some suggestions. Other then a €200 odd pair of lowa's.

    Try this site; http://www.polimil.co.uk/
Got my Bates M-9's from them.
Really good guys to deal with and they have very good quality boots for all price ranges.:)

Thermo recommended I try out the Meindl eagles, and I have to say I am extremely impressed. They're expensive, but the quality is undoubtedly there - they're comfortable as hell, offer fantastic support, and for all intents and purposes are waterproof (8hour leather (I didn't know what it was either :P ) + goretex liner).

Very nice boots. You can pick them up in http://www.protac.ie/store/

Hands down, the best boot I've ever had.
Use them for everything from paintballing and airsoft, to working in the garage on cars, to riding motocross bikes to hiking with the dogs and chopping logs in the forest.

    When they'll last you 15 years - it's a good investment ;)

Funny - daily showers tend to result in me being... pong free, feet included. Try it - you'd be surprised ;)

My pair of Meindl Army Pros are pretty much the only reason* I don't have to get a pin in my ankle when I broke my leg a few months ago.

*similar quality boots would have had the same result.

i've always been a sucker for tryin a pair on before buying them i got me a pair of magnums in hobby airsoft tried them on before and all rather than gettin them on line. 70 euro not to bad and they are really light weight tough and will last the distance once they get a little tlc once in a while.
