question about proposed public art commission(similar to gottfried helnwein)

    hi i am an art student and doing a paper for a PROPOSED public art commission at fort camden in co cork. im interested in doing a large scale photographic piece similar to what gottfried helnwein did in waterford on the quays....just wondering how did he get the print such a large scale?what material is used?and what are the kind of people i would need to install a large outdoor piece like such?would really appreiciate any help :)

    Hi Buttons, I know Gottfried lives part of the year in the US, so I'm guessing he gets canvas and prints done in the US. Possibly Austria.
    Did you know that although the Waterford installation was digital work printed on vinyl, a lot of his earlier work (children pics) is in fact painted.
    I even suspect that in fact some of the digitally photographed and reproduced works for the exhibition were originally paintings.
