the first picture was friday's result. it has equalled my most successful day which was last season of
a pheasant woodcock and a rabbit. this time the shots were a little more text book and the dog was
fantastic. the pheasant was hard earned, he ran up and down and doubled back a couple of times
but fair dues to her she got him to break, a nice high shot and a lovely retrieve. the woodcock came
out hard and fast and i was happy with the shot, a bit of a sloppy retrieve but that was slightly down
to me. the rabbit was a nice shot too, i've shot about twenty rabbits this year and i'm happy with how
    i'm shooting them.
the second picture was a pheasant from two weeks ago. took me a bit by surprise but i dropped him with
one shot and was happy with the retrieve. in case any of you are wondering about how the pup is getting
on, he's doing great but i have not shot anything for him yet. he has produced three cocks so far, two of which
i left off because i thought they were out of range but i was probably being over cautious. the other broke the far
    side of the hedge.

thanks, she's quite small compared to most springers, but what she lacks in size she has in speed and style.

thanks, might send her in for ireland's next top model so . . . :p.
the second pheasant from memory was average enough i think, it might be the angle of the camera.

as you can see from the picture lucy is a very proud pooch and her clean appearance is down to herself, both her and the other springer bulldose cover and come back in a right state as the back and the smell of my van will prove, however after a day out they both sit on their bench and lick themselves clean, sometimes i've seen either one stand still while the other dogs lick them clean. . . i can assure you no poochs have been bathed in my house in a long time. . .

no the pheasants in clonee are too hard to hit. :)
couldn't possibly divulge where that one met his end. ;)
