Should I get an iPad 2 now or wait for the inevitable iPad 3 next February-April?

    What do you guys think? I have the iPhone 4, my sister gave it to me for free as she couldn't sell it cos it was jailbroke.

    I would like to get an iPad though. The main reason would be for reading eBooks, but i'd like all the other features though. Should I wait for the iPad 3 though?

    No. Wait for the ipad 4. Youve waited this long........ Seriously, do a search; its been asked numerous times.

    Oh, and by the way, your sister did not try very hard. They are a very sellable item

    If its just for books alone, think about a Kindle, the iPad backlight isn't very eye-friendly!

    +1, if for ebooks get the kindle for €110 and wait to see what happens with iPad 3. IPad isn't great for extended periods of eading imo.

    Does anyone know if the ipad2 would be included with the test of the stuff on sale on st strphans day on if retailers are preclude from selling them at anything below apple store prices

    Personally I would wait for ipad3 though

    Or if just for reading then kindle. Personally I would have no interest in that as I don't read much but if its your thing it is alot easier to read from than any other tablet

    As already suggested, if its purely for reading ebooks, then dont get an iPad. A Kindle is deffo the way to go.

    However if you are dying for an iPad, ask yourself what else you need it for. If its just browsing, ebooks and the like then it wont matter whether you have an iPad 1, 2 or 3! Vast majority of apps etc dont utilise the full processing power and other features.

    U wont really get Apple products at reduced prices


    I waited AGES for my iPad2..... thinking along the same lines when the first iPad came out.... it TOOK AGES !!!!!

    eventually when the 2 came out I snapped it ... but beware u will be waiting AGES !!! hehe

    I have the feeling that ipad 3 will not come along until June. Reasons are:
    1. Ipad 2 is still hot.
    2. Apple will seek a release date closer to xmas.

    Jailbroken i phone 4's selling everyday on adverts, making good money too..:confused:
