'Sources' say organisers are planning to end the centenary Tour de France at the finish of Alpe d'Huez after scaling the monumental climb not once but twice!

I would have thought it impossible to finish anywhere but the Champs Elysee. Possibly the very last 'regular' stage will be held on Alpe d'Huez the day before the finish in Paris. I'd imagine we'll see all the famous summit finishes and some cobbles in 2013.

Savage if it happens. All we need then is Lance to come come out and say 'ah feck it, sure I'll go for number 8'!:pac:

Parc des Princes or la Vélodrome de Vincennes? OK, I know that was before anyone here's time. It would make for a different finish especially if the Tour was actually won on the last day.
