    Hi guys,
just wondering what happens if you dont pay a bill from UPC?
I had a house in waterford which i left but in the 12 months previous i took out a 12 month contract with UPC, when my 12 months in the house was up so was the UPC.
But they are now trying to say I never cancelled the account and are wanting me to pay for the last 6 months of it, not a hope seen as I wasnt even in the county never mind the house for the last 6 months and I only took out a 12 month contract.
I didnt take out a direct debit.
    Anyone any info?

The "12 months" in the minimum term of the contract, NOT the duration of the contract, after the 12 months were up, the contract did not finished.

You (as per the terms of the contract) have to give them 30 days notice to terminate the contract, since you have not (yet) give notice, the contract is still in force and you are effectively giving free UPC to whom ever moved in after you.

You might check to see if they paid anything.

I know that the people in the house after did not pay anything! the box was collected last month!
Im just trying to weigh up my options seen as the time of year it is and with very little money in my wallet what options have i as UPC are asking for something I cannot afford
