Help with choosing coffee grinder

I have been looking at both the Baratza Virtuoso and Preciso and I see that the Virtuoso has now been upgraded with the Preciso Burr. http://www.baratzallc.com/about/news/virtuoso-grinder-upgraded-with-preciso-burr/

The Virtuoso is $249 and the Presico is $325. I am wondering what's the difference now between the two grinders?

I am just using a French press at the moment but hope to purchase the Rancilio Silva down the line. Would I be best to choose one of the above or go for the Rancilio Rocky now? I hope to make espresso, latte and Macchiato.

Hey,

I'm a total novice too. I think the difference in the two is that the Preciso has a number of sub settings for each setting in the Virtuoso allowing you to select a more precise coarseness of the grind.

The main reason I'm posting is to let you know that whereever you order from, you should make sure that the Virtuoso is the latest model as this news was only announced this week and stores will still be selling their old stock.

Pretty certain that Baratza will not ship direct to Ireland, however - you will have to go through an Irish/European seller, which works out much more expensive in the case of the Preciso (less so with the Virtuoso - see
