Sadly, Séamus O Diolúin, former CS of Complacht Na bhFiann, passed away today in his 90th year.
See Friday papers for funeral arrangements. Go ndéana Dia grásta ar an bhfear macánta uasal.

Some of you who served in the 20th Inf Btn FCA in the 80s in Griffith Barracks might remember him.
Funeral will be held on Saturday at 10 am in St Patricks Esker Lucan.

Don't remember him but must have come across him a couple of times being a member of D Company at the time. RIP sir.

Oddly enough, most of the faces in the second photo seem to be D Company. I see the An Piarsach CS, Maurice Hayden for one, and the Sergeant Major of the 20th, can't remember his name. The guys with the pennant are actually D company, really I should be there but I can't remember the event and I turned up for everything. I don't see myself though but I see a couple of old comrades. How young we were.

E company were our friendly rivals. But they only beat us at Gaelic Football, fitting for the Complacht Na bhFiann.

    Ah memories.
