    3 tries and at least one conversion and we only got 13 points!!!!!! we were robbed I tell's ya.

    actually that begs the question is there any one young enough here to not remember the 4 points for a try? (although they were only worth 3 points during this match)

    edit* it seems that before 1891 a conversion was worth more then the try itself

    Out of interest I remember clearly inter pro matches being covered regularly here in the North by BBC NI from 1970's. Were matches in the south covered as well?

    edit* it seems that before 1891 a conversion was worth more then the try itself

    I try used to be worth no points, and a conversion was worth all the points. Thats why it was called a "try" because it gave you a chance to "try" get some points.

    I fit into that category. A try has been 5 points all my life :)

    That's a great video, very interesting footage to have now.
