I never heared of this stuff till some tart mentioned it on come dine with me a while ago and since then I seem to hear it being mentioned everywhere.
is it worth splashing out the extra few quid on?

go on treat yourself. Can't go far wrong with tenner for a bottle of plonk.

Make sure you like it before buying in high volume. There are many producers making CNDP wine as it just describes the town where the wine originates. These range from 15euro to over 30 euro.

Ahhh chateau neuf - reminds me of a bunch of us spontaneously breaking out into Beastie Boys - Hello Nasty in Carrefour in south of France much to the confusion of the locals.

Bloody nice wine was £35 a bottle here and about £8 there at the time. Stuff I've had in Ireland since definitely not the same.

Not a bad wine In my opinion

A good alternative for the same price is Saint Emillion half price nearly all the time in Tesco.:)
